I am flicking through Facebook scrolling the news feed filling in time like waiting for the train to come, what did we do before Facebook? Another question for another day!

Have you ever wondered why? Why am I doing this? Why do I feel like there should be more? Why do I just get by each day? Why does life seem like a grind, day in day out? Why do i wonder WHY?

If you've asked these questions, and are continually asking these questions of yourself, your in the majority of how most people live their lives daily. I was one of them, asking the Why questions. Having gone through some major changes in my life, my personal life, divorce, changing jobs, feeling unsettled and becoming a single parent, I asked myself some tougher questions than why.

I then started to ask How questions! How can I? How can I make my life more resourceful? How can I become a better version of myself? How can I give more back to others? How can I access the knowledge about the stuff I don't know about myself to starting living life on my terms? And the how questions continued.

When we a stuck in why questioning we are living what we call below the line, living at effect, why do all these things happen to me. When we are stuck in this line of questioning, it is very hard to see ourselves reflect in any other way. The more we bog ourselves down in why life just sucks, we close our mind to the possibilities of the How questions, how can I get out of my own way and turn all those why questions into actions.

How if I had the resources could I make my career expand further than where I am at now. How if I had better communication skills to deliver to my loved one could I make my relationship even better than it is today. How can I get help to be a better version of myself. How can I offer more value in my business? How can I use the skills I have to earn more money in my career? How can I use the extra money I'm now earning to build my dream business?

So, how did coaching help me?

Remember I said I was flicking through Facebook, well I came across The Coaching Institute and it attracted my attention. I inquired and requested the information pack, it was full of information that at the time didn't really hit the mark with me so I put it away. It was a further 6 months until I got serious and spoke to The Coaching Institute about coaching. Sometimes it's when the time is right or when you take action that you make change. I decided I wanted to explore change and move myself to a better version of myself. How was I going to do that I had no idea.

The next part of this journey was to explore self development, learn more about why we do what we do. Now I have fully engaged T.CI. (The Coaching Institute), talking about what my goals, dreams and focus is, how can I become that better version of myself, being involved with like minded people certainly helped this process. Well, I am sure your asking, "how did this help you, coaching"? Well, let me explain how I got to the point of studying and becoming a coach.

T.C.I have a Wow Team, these guys help you every step of the way, they know their stuff and have such a resourceful way to help, guide and be there when you need it, great coaches. Talking to the Wow Team in the early stages was about self-development, then as the conversations become filled with great content about where I wanted to go, it was highlighted to me, "have you thought about taking this further"? I said, "um, what do you mean"? Sarah said,"you have a great approach and have something unique to offer, you could make a business out of coaching". That was the conversation that turned my idea of self-development around to take this serious and dedicate to learning the skills, tools, resources and knowledge to Coach, hence "Coaching Outside The Frame" was born.

Now, how has Coaching helped me. I wanted clarity, direction, purpose, and this wasn't just in one area of my life, it was several areas, career, relationships, and just life itself. I engaged a coach myself and being coached in these areas has giving me back purpose, clarity and direction in my life, something missing for a long time. Coaching enables you to look at where you are today and take you to where you want to go, or it could be that life is great but with someone being there to guide you it can be even better than it is now.

Coaching has given me new tools and resources I never new existed, a new language on how I look at things in life, it's the meaning we give things that makes those situations worse than they are.

If coaching is something that could be the missing piece in your puzzle of life, contact me and we can have a complimentary session to see if coach and client match.
